Sixth Form Subject Sampling Evening

Thank you for your application to the Magnificat Sixth Form – we are delighted that you have chosen us as your potential Sixth Form destination.

As a part of the application process, we give all students the opportunity to attend a Subject Sampling Evening at Saint Augustine’s on Thursday 13th February. This will give Year 11 the opportunity to experience their chosen subjects and meet with subject teachers. Parents are not expected to attend.

To register your child’s intention to attend, simply encourage them to use the QR code below and select their taster sessions for the evening. Please also ensure they have made a note of which subjects they are attending during which session. This will save time on the day!

The timings for the evening are as follows: 

4:00 - 4:10 Arrival

4:15 – 4:40 Taster Lesson 1

4:45 – 5:10 Taster Lesson 2

5:15 – 5:40 Taster Lesson 3

5:45 – 6:10 Taster Lesson 4

6:10 Pick up from Saint Augustine’s 

The aim of the evening is to ensure the students leave having gained a closer insight into what the Magnificat Sixth Form has to offer. Magnificat Sixth Form staff and students available throughout the evening to support, guide and answer any queries you may have. We look forward to seeing you and hope you enjoy this experience.

Magnificat Sixth Form interviews will be in February and March. These will mostly take place at the student’s current school during the school day. However, where this is not possible, the Magnificat Sixth Form team will be in contact to arrange an interview afterschool. If your child is unable to attend our Subject Sampling Evening, do not worry. There will also be a Magnificat Sixth Form Taster Day in June. This will be a full day of formal lessons and activities to give students a sample of the full Magnificat Sixth Form Experience.
