Mrs Beach - Careers Advisor: sbeach@sta.magnificat.org.uk
Mrs Beach is our independent careers advisor and works Tuesday to Thursday. She is based in the office in the Amber Room and meets with students all day to create career support plans. She will meet with every sixth former including yourself over the course of this year but if you want to arrange a meeting sooner you can email Mrs Beach or speak to her in the Careers Office in the Amber Room.

Mrs Taman is our school careers leader. She oversee's work experience and events in school for you to engage with employers, apprenticeship providers and develop your employability skills. She also runs the Employability Skills enrichment option on Wednesdays P3 which you could opt for as part of your enrichment choices in year 12. Mrs Taman is usually based in C2 contact.
Miss Klatt - MAC Careers Lead: cklatt@magnificat.org.uk
Miss Klatt works with us every Thursday and Friday and offers careers advice/interviews. She works with Mrs Taman to oversee work experience. Miss Klatt organises our MAC careers and super curricular support which includes things such as outside visits to universities, employers, apprenticeship providers etc. Miss Klatt also supports preparation for those seeking for early entry applications for medicine, Oxbridge, dentistry, veterinary science. Miss Klatt is based in the Careers Office in the Amber Room.

Mrs Threadgold oversee’s the UCAS process, Cambridge Consortium, year 12 enrichment programme and co-ordinates support for post 16 destinations guidance working closely with Mrs Taman, Mrs Beach and Miss Klatt.

Careers Programme and Policy
Our careers and destinations support is rooted in the words from the book of Jeremiah ‘For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Unifrog
All students have access to the wonderful online careers platform, Unifrog, where they can take personality quizzes, explore potential subject and career profiles that interest them and record careers activities. Students have their own individual logins with their student email as their username. Start exploring here!
Work Experience and Linked Employers
Every year we run a work experience week in the summer term for our Year 10 and Year 12 students. It is the expectation that all students take part in this experience to build their confidence in the workplace and explore different career paths. See the benefits HERE.
